THE LITERATURE RELATIONS BETWEEN TURKISH AND GERORGIAN FROM THE PAST UNTIL TODAY

Abstract

Turkey and Georgia have deep relations for centuries. However, relations on literature among countries have just recently begun. It was introduced by the Turkologists at the Tbilisi State University and the Institute of Oriental Studies, the Turkish literary world has also known to the Georgian readers. The Georgian Turkologists have used Turkish quotes in Georgian, Turkish words in the South dialect of Georgian, Georgian words in Anatolian dialects, Georgian words in Artvin dialects, Turkish-Georgian language, Turkish anthropomorphisms in Georgian, generally, relations between Turkish-Georgian languange are examined based on the accent and dialect of Turks living in Georgia, Georgians living in Turkey and their vulgar tongue etc. Translation is a cultural bridge between countries. At this point, It is of very important that the works of the writers and poets between two counturires are mutually translated in the aspect of developing the cultural and literary relations. While the cultural dimension is being improved through translation, in the same time, the two different societies will get to know better one another. Culture is acknowledged as an important tool for the recognition of the people, while literary translation is an important tool for the cultural transfer that brings them together.
