Yunus Emre, one of the important figures of Turkish Language History, made important contributions to the language and culture of the period with the works he left. The language of Yunus Emre's poems is accepted as Western Turkish (Principal Period Turkish or Old Anatolian Turkish). Yunus Emre, with his Turkish language, has been of great importance and inspiration in the periods after him as well as in his own period. In this study, a comparison was made between the vocabulary of Yunus Emre's poems and the vocabulary of Kazakh. In this direction, the words starting with the letter a- in Yunus Emre's poems were handled and their Kazakh forms were given. The aim here is to indicate that the use of both languages comes from similar roots and to show the phonetic and period differences between these two languages. However, in this study, the words that are common to both the language of Yunus Emre's poems and the vocabulary of Kazakh will be compared with the historical periods of Turkish. In fact, the Old Turkish forms of these words will be indicated as appropriate.
