Impressionist artists, who caused radical changes in the art of painting, went beyond all traditional patterns, rediscovered color and light, and laid the foundation of modern art by putting free expression forms at the center. It has inspired the basic principles of not only modern art but also the digital technology of our age. Impressionist artists have rediscovered the light by basing their work on scientific foundations. The spirit of the Impressionist era focuses on the momentary changes of the ever-changing light and the idea of capturing the moment. In this study, the relationship between digital technology and art has been discussed on the basis of impressionism and the effect of impressionism on digital technology constitutes the main axis of this article. The use of technology as a tool in the field of art is mostly addressed as the effect of technology on art, however, the strong influence of art that directs and inspires technology is less emphasized. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the intellectual and formal effects of art that inspire technology. The change of traditional plastic values after impressionism and the transformation of plastic into colored light in today's mechanization process are discussed with the works of Claude Monet, Andy Warhol and examples from today's technology.
