ABSTRACT In this study; the historical development of the way that art and design, which has become part of our life without losing its existence from the formation of the world until today, has changed itself at a rapid pace and followed the infinite transformation by keeping up with the developments in the world together with modernism. In the western society where modern art was born after industrialization, new trends emerged in the technological developments of the nineteenth century, with the invention of the photograph machine and the emergence of cinema. Eastern culture, where vivid colors, lines, non-figurative formations dominate traditional and local artistic patterns, has inspired Western painting art. It has been researched how important art movements interact with each other and how this interaction is handled and reflected by the artists. In this work, the concept of "originality" in these works has been examined based on works which are the source of inspiration for contemporary graphic design products of the graphic design profession which pioneers these developments and adapts to the developing and changing world. In today's design examples, the main purpose of the study is to examine the effects of art and design exchange, the concepts of originality and freedom into a design object.
