In this work, immigration phenomenon and reasons of immigration will be analyzed on the characters in Cage and Aviary Birds by Andrea De Carlo. The question of why each of the main characters wants to emigrate and what the psychological background of these causes is will be examined. In this context, the connection between the events and people in the story and the author himself and his experiences through migration will also be in question. The phenomenon of migration in this work generally includes different reasons than usually known. This feature of the book is the most important factor for it to be the subject of our research. Since an examination will be made over the characters and the author, the method of psychoanalytic criticism will be used.
