Abstract

ABSTRACT At a time when technology and the internet are developing rapidly, the importance of logos and emblems is increasing. Logos and emblems are among the important promotional elements of cities. The national and international recognition of the city and the city's image are the most important factors in making it a brand city. Our research is to examine and evaluate the official logos and emblems used by Çorum Governorship and district governorships in the context of design principles. The research covers the province of Çorum and its districts. The data obtained from the web pages of Çorum Governorship and district governorships were evaluated, analyzed, analyzed and commented on. Whether the design principles and elements of Çorum Governorship and Çorum district governorships are paid attention to in the design of logos and emblems, whether the values of our city and districts of Çorum are included in the logos and emblems or to make a wrong application, it is important to work in terms of the image of our Çorum city and districts. It is aimed to contribute to our city of Çorum. As a result of the researches and examinations, whether the logos and emblems used reflect the historical, cultural and touristic values of the city, the missing points in terms of design principles were determined and suggestions were made for the solution of the problem.
