The process of transferring a plan formed in the mind as a result of seeing/visual perception to the paper plane with linear values can be called design. This concept includes a very comprehensive way of thinking. Many stages such as visual perception, evaluation of memory/emotion/thought/dream, anxiety of reaching the new and original in line with previous experiences can define the design process. The most important goal fort he visual arts education process/result is to reach original and successful designs. In this context, each stage of the conscious processes of design contains very important basic principles for different fields of art and design such as sculpture, painting and visual communication design. In this study, firstly, the application forms of collage, which is an easy-to-use technique in design processes, in contemporary art were evaluated and then, in basic design education, collage technique and interior applications were discussed in an experimental process based on project creation. The aim of study is to present new application examples by the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts through collage, which is a way of seeing and thinking in contemporary arts. The method of the research is the descriptive method. As a findings and conclusion of the study, it was observed that the students who performed interior design with collage technique improved their research skills, developed creative solutions for effective interior designs and were excited/interested/curious about the subject/technique
