Turkey has turned especially in 1980 after the economic policies of the liberal ideology of free market economy that direction. In this process, the role of the state started to change and the state adopted roles such as increasing competition, encouraging the private sector by withdrawing from the economy. Therefore, the objectives of the Republic of Turkey to become a regional power in terms of economic markets in the region becaıuse of its historical past in which seeks to provide through the free market economy. The aim is to enlarge trade policies within the framework of the new economic system and to increase regional power in areas such as development and security. It entered into force Turkey to improve the process of further integration with the West in economic and political advantage of the Western ideological systems in public diplomacy policy. Therefore, the concept of liberal democracy should be at the forefront as a political perspective. As is known, the Western ideological perspective has been the language of public diplomacy and political communication of the Western social sciences. The West has put itself in the center of the World by using its ideological thought system at the same time in the language of science. In this context, it serves as the sun fort he countries that turn to the West. Turkey, especially after 1980 began to zoom in further to Western political and economic system. With the collapse of the Soviet Union after 1990, it entered a process of getting closer with the West. The aim of this study is to show, especially after 1980, both economically and politically in the context of public diplomacy activities conducted by the Republic of Turkey becoming a regional power in the converging West ideological system. In this context, the fields of activity of Yunus Emre Instutute were selected as samples in the research. Fort this reason, both global and regional studies of Yunus Emre Intitute’s were examined. In particular, regional studies have been analyzed. As the sample Yunus Emre Institute, Turkey’s political communication perspective to the activities shown in terms of being a regional power.
