The book Turkish Tales (1329), which is accepted as the first conscious compilation in Turkish fairy tale research, it has attracted the attention of researchers from the day it was printed and its author, K.D., remained a mystery to be solved. In the light of some evidence in an article published in April 2019, his author was the Kâşif Dehrî it was stated that K.D. is an abbreviation of this name. In our article in question, an important article written by Prof. Dr. Ali Birinci before, in a way that does not suit scientific studies, it has been overlooked and K.D. His views on could not be evaluated. With this article, we wanted to both fill our deficiencies and share our thoughts about their opinions. Based on the memoir of Emine Fuat Tugay translated from English in 2013, Mr. Birinci revealed that the author was Emine Fuat. However, when we compare the information given by Emine Fuat about her work and the statements in the foreword of the Turkish Tales, some suspicious / contradictory situations await the author's solution. The most important of these is the question of which names correspond to K.D. In our article, by paying attention to these problematic issues it was requested to contribute to the true identity of K.D.
