Human life consists of periods such as infancy, childhood, adulthood and old age, and communication plays an essential role in each of these periods. Because human beings continue to communicate with other people in order to continue their life and continue their life process. Biologically, psychologically and sociologically changing dimensions of the person through the chronological age, the communication process which is necessary for the continuation of life is in the process. The most important problem of old age is the disappearance of communication, which is established and maintained with the environment, with the close ones, with the society. The disappearance of communication or inactivity may also be due to concrete reasons such as the death of a spouse in the vicinity of the elderly, such as the decease of the children, the diminution of interest or the interpretation by the person in such an abstract level. The level of communication that the person has with the environment in relation to himself and himself is directly proportional to his satisfaction with life. Along with age progression, the individual and social interactions of the person are also affected.
