There are some remarkable works among the works of Austrian composer and pianist Franz Schubert, one of the leading composers of the Romantic Period. In addition to his Lied called "Die Forelle", his works called "Unfinished Symphony No.8", piano sonatas and "Erkönig" made a great impact in his period. The Lied album for Voice and Piano named "Winterreise" with archive number D.911 has an important place in the Voice-Opera Repertoire and the accompaniment structure of the album is extremely simple and was composed in a way that highlights the singing part.
The album consists of 24 Lieds in total and is collected in two books. The first Lied of the first album, "Gute Nacht", was chosen as the focus of this study. The first reason for choosing this Lied is the structure of the accompaniment and its harmony with the singing party. In addition to the analyzes on the piano technique, important points within the singing party have been tried to be identified and suggestions regarding these points have been presented to the reader. In the examinations, first of all, an evaluation was made on the accompaniment motifs in the piano part, and from a technical perspective, it was determined which sound colors the accompaniment would use, taking into account the character of the composer. In the examinations made on the piano and solo part, findings were obtained to increase singing performance.
