The problem of the informal economy is seen as a major obstacle to the establishment of a healthy economic structure all over the world. On the other hand, for some countries, the existence of the informal economy makes a great contribution to the survival of the society and to reduce the burden of state administrations in the currently weak economic conditions. In this dilemma, informal employment is the most striking issue. In the study, together with the concepts of informal economy and informal employment, an evaluation of the research carried out by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) on this issue in 2019 is included.
