In this study, it was aimed to examine the opinions of preschool teachers regarding what kind of design process they used while preparing activities where they bring children together with art. It is important for teachers, who take an active role in children's first encounters with art, to practice in-class art activities in order to improve children's artistic awareness, children to experience art, develop creative thinking, and gain an aesthetic perspective. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research was selected from the purposeful sampling types using the easily accessible situation sampling method. The study group consists of 27preschool teachers working in state schools in Sivas city center. As a data collection tool, a general information form including the demographic characteristics of preschool teachers and a semi-structured interview form was used to examine teachers' opinions about the design process regarding their artistic practices. As a result of the research; Preschool teachers consider it necessary to provide children with gains such as intelligence development, creativity, aesthetic perspective and self-expression in the implementation of art activities, they use cutting, folding, gluing, kneading and all kinds of painting techniques in their practice, the starting point of their designs is the age groups and needs of children. stated that their interests and the acquisitions and concepts included in the plan are formed, they take care that the materials they use for design are healthy, natural, economical, waste materials and remarkable, that the applicability of designs is determined by children's development characteristics, individual differences, readiness levels and creativity, and at the stage of originality of the designs. They also expressed their views on providing opportunities for children to create original products by using their creativity. Keywords: Preschool, art activities, design process, teachers' opinions
