A FİQH ANALYSİS ON THE PANDEMİC DİSEASES AND QUARANTİNE

Abstract

Many pandemic events which caused the massive deaths and the great destructions in the political, social, economic and cultural aspects in Islamic history. Those diseases were a great threat for Islamic civilization. Thus, those diseases were the center of interest of Muslims from the era of bliss. The religious scholars with the doktors made some researches about the aforementioned pandemics as being inspired of the Prophet’s hadiths, and they wrote the works. The quarantine application is one of the most effective precautions against such pandemic diseases which are infectious, spread quickly and cause the massive deaths. That application was recommended personnally by the Prophet. In this research, the fiqh statements related to the importance the fiqh reflections of pandemic disease process were considered. The fiqh issues related to the pandemic event were reviewed with the opinions of fiqh scholars and the fiqh statements which were preferred related to the subject were tried to be determined. Next, of quarantine and the necessary things to be made were included after the information on the pandemic diseases was briefly given.
