The purpose of this study is to examine the sixth grade Social Studies Curriculum in terms of the values that make up the national identity. In the study, qualitative research method was used. The 6th grade Social Studies Curriculum examined in the scope of the research was obtained by using the document analysis technique in the scope of the research by searching the curriculum for the values, the aims, achievements and learning areas of the national identity. Essential elements of Smith's national identity as benchmarks in his work; 1. A historical land / country or country (country), 2. Common myths and historical memory (history unity), 3. Joint mass public culture (national culture), 4. Common legal rights and duties, 5. Joint economy and 6 It was taken as a common religion. The general objectives of the Social Studies Curriculum have been determined in accordance with the General Objectives and Basic Principles of Turkish National Education, which are expressed in the National Education Basic Law numbered 1739. In general purposes, Turkish culture, Turkish homeland, Turkish history and citizenship consciousness are take place. As a result, the social studies curriculum is structured at every grade level as general objectives, learning areas and achievements. The general objectives, learning areas and achievements were formed in such a way as to create a national identity.
