Handicraft products, as well as written sources, are important in transferring the traces of communities lived in the past to the next generations. Metal works, which have an important place among theses handicraft products, have reached the present day in greater numbers than other handicraft products due to the durability of the raw material used. Handicraft products have a very important place in terms of reflecting the characteristics of the period in which they were made, such as form and decoration, material and production technique. Museums that function as a bridge between the past and future cultures by displaying both material cultural remains and daily life practices of the communities that lived in past periods are the institutions with an important function. Metal kitchen utensils, which are considered among handicraft products exhibited in various exhibition halls and showcases in the museums, are important materials with survey value since they bring the cultural structure and lifestyle and kitchen habits of the periods in which they were used to the present. The main aim of our study is to attempt to describe these handicraft products, which reflect the forms of life, social and cultural habits of past cultures, through the works exhibited in Şanlıurfa museum and thus to arouse the necessary interest to keep this tradition, that has begun to disappear today, alive.
