Abstract


THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER’S LEVELS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CYNISM AND THEIR JOB SATISFACTION (SIIRT SAMPLE)

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the primary and secondary school teacher’s levels of organizational cynism and job satisfaction. This study is in the model of relational survey. The universe of the research is consists of 1219 tecahers of 26 primary schools and 28 secondary schools in Siirt province. The sample of the research is consists of 263 teachers of 13 primary schools and 16 secondary schools choosed by simple-random sampling method. For his purpose, The Organizational Cynism Scale formed by Sağır and Oğuz (2012) applied to the theachers to determine their organizational cynism levels and Minesota Job Satisfaction Scale to determine their job satisfaction levels. İt is found that the teachers have moderate levels of both organizational cynism level and job satisfaction. The study also showes that there is e negative and moderate relationship between teacher’s organizational cynism levels and job satisfaction levels. Moreover, it was concluded that organizational cynism is a significant predictor of job satisfaction. In other words , the perceived job satisfaction levels of teacher decreases when their organizational cynism levels increases.
