Abstract


THE MEASUREMENT OF BUSINESS ETHICS PERCEPTION OF GİRESUN UNIVERSITY TOURISM STUDENTS: THE METHOD OF ASSOCIATION TESTING

The issue of ethics has become a matter of increasing importance with the development of industries, the aggravation of competition conditions and the spread of sustainable business visions. Workplace environment of the employees, the situations that they face in the work, the perceptions about the work and the concepts of business ethics are among the topics covered in the research. Especially, the concept of business ethics is seen as an effective factor in people's attitudes towards business. The existence of ethical principles in workplace environments is a matter to be considered in terms of the dependence of employees and business productivity. In this context, determining the perceptions of the students of tourism who are going to be working in tourism sector, ethics will be a valuable result in terms of their productivity and their commitment to the business. The main objective of the study is to identify undergraduate students' perceptions regarding ethical concepts in the industry and the extraction of knowledge about business ethics. In this research, it has been tried to obtain information about the business ethics perceptions of undergraduate students who are receiving tourism education. Students' perspectives on ethics are put forward. Perceptions of business ethics in the tourism sector, students were analyzed by the words they give answers. With the data obtained, the words used by the students about business ethics are mentioned. In the study, word association test was used to make the analyzes, frequency table was made and the concept networks were formed and relations were tried to be revealed. SPSS 22 program was used to analyze the results of demographic information.
